How Much Happiness?

I meet so many people who love I Can Has Cheezburger? And, I am so grateful for the thanks and appreciation our fans express for our work.

On a day-to-day basis, my primary work is with the plumbing that keeps the LOLcats flowing. I often joke that my job is to keep the LOLcats happy by cleaning the litter boxes and opening fresh cans of tuna. I often forget that a goofy web site about LOLcats brings so many moments of joy and happiness around the world.

I was curious today: just how many moments of joy? Our traffic stats show 14.6M visits to I Can Has Cheezburger? each month. Let’s just assume that each person only spends 1 minute on our site. (According to our internal analytics it’s more, but this keeps the math simple.)

14.6M people per month x 1 minute of happiness
    = 14.6M total minutes
    = 243,333 hours
    = 10,139 days
    = 27.8 years of happiness

Wow! Can you believe that? LOLcats are the source of almost 28 years of happiness per month…thats’s nearly one year of happiness per day!

  1. It’s true. Whenever I’m in a funk, I always go to I Can Has Cheezburger?, and it gives me that extra little push. I always chuckle at least once every visit! Thank you!

  5. Thanks! You DO bring happiness. If more people didn’t think I was stupid for continually checking in on Icanhascheezy (whatever) the world would be a better place. I am a successful person, and I truly believe it’s because I make a point to be happy. And of course my cats contribute to that (and occasionally detract, like this morning, but that’s another story).

  10. I have two cats of my own, and they bring me happiness every time they are around. They can be sleeping, washing each other, wrestling around on the floor, even when they are like velcro every time I sit down, they bring me joy. Being a spiritual person, I like to say they are like a little glimpse of God in our crazy world. LOLcats also does the same thing, and I am forever grateful. Blessings to you and yours

I am an avid animal lover and have 4 cats of my own, knowing the crazy personalities of cats, this website ALWAYS brings me so much extreme bliss it makes me feel like things are ok in the world! I have laughed so hard I have cried on MANY occations, and although my husband may not understand all the humor sometimes, you are such a wonderful addition to my life! Please know you are greatly appreciated!

My son turned me on to ICHCB and I didn’t know I could love him any more but I DO. I have 11 rescue cats that keep me in stitches too. Thanks for helping with my smile mussels and keep them coming.
