MBAs vs. Entrepreneurs

without comments

In a follow up to yesterday’s post about Startup vs. Corporate, an article about MBAs vs. Entrepreneurs floated by on my Twitter stream today (from @gregarious):

Professor Saras Sarasvathy, who teaches entrepreneurship at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia…[asks]…is there such as thing as “entrepreneurial thinking” — and does it differ in important ways from, say, how MBAs think about problems and seize opportunities?

The answer, Sarasvathy concludes, is an emphatic yes…

The article then goes on to explain the differences in the types of thinking between MBAs and entrepreneurs.  It’s a great article by Bill Taylor (@practicallyrad) and the whole thing his here: http://blogs.harvardbusiness.org/taylor/2009/05/mbas_vs_entrepreneurs_who_has.html.  It’s not very long, so I encourage you.
