On my job at Cheezburger, and why it beats laying railroad ties

with one comment

I was featured in an NextCast interview on GeekWire today.  Apparently, at some point in the interview, I mentioned that working at Cheezburger “beats laying railroad ties”….which is true, obviously…though I don’t recall saying it.

I haven’t actually watched the interview yet, so we’ll get to find out together “if” or “how” I embarrassed myself with that comment!

  1. Great interview – especially when you say “It’s all about the people” and how a team can’t have people with big egos. I love when you said you would rather work with a group of B players that can work well together rather than a group of prima donnas who don’t and I couldn’t agree more. Lately I have seen this first hand and it can be tough in a startup when one or more people have egos like you’re describing. Sure, are they top notch, talented folks? Sure – but in the end if one person causes infighting and animosity then there are much bigger problems to solve!
