INME! Friday: We Are Hunted
What is INME? The Internet has made music so much more accessible…I feel like the world is a cup overflowing with music to hear…I feel like Lucy at the chocolate factory…I feel like I Need More Ears!
Recently, I’ve been listening to the charts over at We Are Hunted. The “music business” may be struggling, but you need no more better example than the Emerging chart playlist at WAH to see how music is blossoming.
All the music on that chart is fantastic…high-quality and well-produced…yet most of it unknown by the mainstream.
The fact is, there are more people creating music today, and getting a wider distribution for their music than ever before. Not as many people are getting to super-duper-stardom, but a lot of people are building small audiences. It’s those artists—with their 1,000 true fans—who are the future of music.
