Lazy-Messy-Backwards Talk at StartPad Countdown
I spoke recently as part of the StartPad Countdown Lecture Series on The Lazy-Messy-Backwards Way of Starting Up.
After having been a part of several startups, we’ve done things a little differently at I Can Has Cheezburger? The talk discusses our approach to technology and the business, how careful allocation of resources are the most important thing for a startup, and how acting counter-intuitively can lead to success.
TechFlash covered the event [click here], and their post includes a nice comment exchange.
You can find the video and slides here.
Interview with Christine Major
Christine Major, of PerkettPR, interviewed me on two occasions at SXSW. First, as part of her SXSW in Two Words or Less montage, and again about I Can Has Cheezburger.

Interview with James Avery
James Avery at InfoZerk recently interviewed me for a podcast on Coder’s Life. We talk mostly about technology, but if you’re interested in how we do things at I Can Has Cheezburger? then you will enjoy it.

Slate Says We're Better Than YouTube!
We were the grateful reciepents of some amazing press today: a front page article on Slate.com under the headline, “How the guys behind Failblog and lolcats turn wacky ideas into piles of cash”.
Well, we don’t really turn them in to piles of cash…but, we do manage to keep the litter boxes clean and the LOLcats flush with cans of tuna.
Ben’s favorite line from the article was this:
…the company has managed something that few others online—not even YouTube—have been able to pull off. It turns memes into a profitable business.
Did they just say that we’re better than YouTube? Sweeeeet!
